Suspected burglar charged after Ashford and Deal break-ins

A suspected burglar has appeared in court after reported break-ins in Kent .
Jake Smith was charged after two properties were broken into in Ashford and Deal .
Officers were called to a charity in Smeeth, near Ashford, after cash was reported stolen on Sunday July 19.
Later the following week, between Thursday July 23 and Friday, July 24, several items were stolen from a business in Deal High Street.
Smith, of no fixed abode, has now been charged with two counts of burglary in relation to the incidents.
The 27-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on a date to be arranged.
