Man charged after woman sexually assaulted at PureGym in Ashford

A man has been charged after a woman was sexually assaulted at a gym.
The incident is said to have happened on Tuesday evening, October 22, at PureGym in Warren Retail Park, Ashford.
A police officer was on duty in the Eureka Park area when he was approached by a member of the public shortly before 1am on Tuesday, who reported that a woman had been sexually assaulted by a gymgoer earlier in the evening.
Jordan Mutemeri, 23, of Guernsey Way, was later arrested in the area.
Today, he was charged with sexual assault on a woman, as well as outraging public decency in relation to a separate incident at the gym on the same date against two other women.
He was also charged with possession of class B drugs, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a bladed article, and a public order offence.
He has been remanded and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today.
A spokesperson for PureGym said: "We are aware of the allegations against a male member regarding a series of incidents at PureGym Ashford Warren Retail Park.
“Our Dedicated Care team is investigating this matter thoroughly and we are co-operating fully with the police during their ongoing investigation.”
