Man taken to hospital after rush-hour crash on A28 at Bethersden

A man has been taken to hospital after his car hit a telegraph pole at Bethersden this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Ashford Road A28 just before the village after the accident at 7.20am.
A fire engine was sent to the scene and police officers closed the road while paramedics treated the driver.
The man, aged about 40, was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford suffering from back pain.
The road was re-opened by police at just after 8am.
