Man in hospital after suspected stabbing in Ashford

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital after a suspected stabbing in Ashford last night.
Police and paramedics were called to Samuel Peto Way, in Newtown, around 6.18pm following reports of an assault.
A man was taken to the William Harvey Hospital with injuries 'consistent with a stab wound' but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
The underpass near Hunters Road and a section of Cheviot Way were closed during the evening as part of officers' enquiries.
A police spokesman said: "No arrests have been made at this stage. Enquiries are ongoing."
A secamb spokesman confirmed one ambulance crew attended the incident after reports a man had suffered a leg wound.
