A man in his 40s has been taken to a London hospital following a crash on the M20.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision on the coastbound carriageway at Junction 10, Ashford, at 11.37pm yesterday.
Police and ambulance crews were called and the motorway was closed for more than three hours.
The fire brigade was also called out although a spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "Our involvement in this incident was limited to environmental protection - preventing leaking fluids from crashed vehicles entering waterways and drainage.
"Crews at the scene were also on standby to assist partner agencies if required."
Emergency crews left the scene at 2.47am.
