Kent Police were called after thieves stole huge quantity of cash from a car in North Street, Ashford

A man had a 'large quantity' of cash stolen from the passenger seat of his car while he was in North Street, in Ashford this afternoon.
Witnesses say the two men grabbed the cash - believed to be several hundred pounds - while the man was distracted.
A spokesman for Kent Police confirmed the incident and said: "Officers were called to North Street, Ashford at 13.42 following reports of a theft.
"It is reported a man had a large quantity of money taken from the passenger seat of his car while he was distracted.
"Officers are at the scene conducting enquiries."
