Man slashed with knife during attempted robbery in Singleton

A 21-year-old man was slashed in an attempted robbery in Singleton last night.

The victim claims his hand was cut with a knife similar to a Stanley knife by two teenage boys, who demanded money and his mobile phone.

The alleged attack took place Singleton Centre, in Hoxton Close, around 5.45pm, while the victim was sitting in his car.

After the struggle the boys then ran off towards the Singleton Barn pub.

Both boys are described as white, around 16 or 17 years old and of slim build.

One was 5ft 7in tall, had brown hair and was wearing a black hooded top and a puffa style coat.

The other boy was 5ft 9in tall, with dark brown hair and was wearing a blue puffa style coat.
