Man in custody acccused of after spitting at British Transport Police officer in Ashford

A man is in custody after a British Transport Police officer was spat at.
The assault reportedly took place this afternoon in Ashford, and it transpired that the officer had arrested the assailant the previous week for another assault.
The man was detained and put into custody overnight as a result.
