Man left with broken bones following assault in Elwick Road in Ashford

A man in his 20s suffered broken bones after he was attacked in broad daylight in a town centre.
Police were called to reports of an assault in Elwick Road, Ashford, at about 9.40am on Sunday.
The victim was walking along the road when two men allegedly assaulted him.
After a member of the public intervened, the two suspects got away in a car and headed in the direction of the roundabout at the junction with West Street.
PC Bethany Gumley said: "While we carry out our inquiries to identify the people responsible for this assault, we would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to contact us as soon as possible.
"I would like to thank those witnesses who have already come forward with information.
"We would also like to hear from any motorists who might have captured some footage on dashcam that could prove useful as part of our investigation."
