Armed police used a non-lethal round to subdue a man in possession of weapons after being called to a residential street.
Fairview Drive in South Willesborough, Ashford, was blocked off as officers descended on a house at about 9pm last night.
A disturbance had been reported at the property, leading police to investigate.
A police spokeswoman said: "It is alleged a man inside the property was in possession of a number of weapons and that threats were made to attending officers.
"Authorised firearms officers were called to assist at the scene and a cordon was put in place.
"Officers in attendance did discharge a non-lethal baton round prior to detaining the man.
"He was taken to hospital as a precaution and has since returned to custody."
