Three men released without charge after armed police raid home in Godinton Road, Ashford

Three men have been released without charge after armed police swooped on a home.

Six officers were seen entering a house in Godinton Road, Ashford, following reports of “threats being made” on Saturday.

Following the dramatic raid, three men were arrested at the scene and an investigation has since been carried out by police.

The incident forced officers to close Godinton Road, between the junctions for James Street and Western Avenue.

Residents say drones were flying overhead and police dogs were brought in as armed police targeted the property.

No weapons were located in the house and all three men have since been released without charge.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Police were called to a report of threats being made at an address in Godinton Road, Ashford.

“Officers attended along with armed officers, following a report of a possible weapon being present.

“No weapons have been located and all three men have been released without charge.”
