A vintage military vehicle believed to have been at the War and Peace show has overturned on the M20.
The accident happened around 1.45pm on the London-bound carriageway between Junctions 8 and 9 for Hollingbourne and Ashford. Highways England is reporting delays of around half an hour.
The five-day War and Peace revival, held at Folkestone Racecourse, finished yesterday.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police were called at 1.44pm to a report that an ex-military jeep with a trailer attached had overturned on the M20 London-bound between Junctions 9 and 8.
"No serious injuries have been reported but two lanes are closed due to a spillage."
Kent Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene around 2pm and spent two hours on the motorway because of the risk of ignition from the petrol. A crew assisted in the clear-up of petrol, estimated to be around four gallons and helped in the vehicle's recovery.
