Firefighters have freed a motorist whose car ended up on its side on the M20 motorway this morning.
Ashford's Blue Watch received a call at around 5.45am reporting that a dark coloured Mercedes was lodged next to a tree on an embankment.
The incident took place on the London-bound carriageway of the motorway, around one mile from Junction 10.
One appliance from Ashford and another from Folkestone attended the scene, where crews worked until around 7am.
Cutting equipment was used to take the vehicle's door off, while a hazardous area response team of paramedics helped to free the man, aged in his 40s.
South East Coast Ambulance service treated the man for injuries, which were described as "non-critical."
He was then taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
Motorists experienced delays of around half an hour, but the Highways Agency expect traffic to return to normal by around 9am.
