A motorist has been treated by paramedics after crashing her car into a wall along a busy main road.

The accident happened in Canterbury Road at the junction with Hardinge Road in Ashford town centre at 9am today.

Police, ambulance crews and the fire brigade were all called to the scene, and drivers approaching the town centre faced delays.

Officers diverted traffic while fire crews worked to move the two badly damaged cars.

It is not yet known if anyone suffered serious injuries.
