M20 traffic as lorry overturns between Ashford and Hythe

The M20 has reopened after an overturned lorry was cleared from the carriageway.

The motorway was closed at junction 10 for Ashford South following the accident, which happened on the coast-bound carriageway shortly after 5pm last night.

One lane reopened at 5.45am this morning, followed by the other two just before 9am.

Recovery vehicles remained on the scene throughout the early hours, as well as police who carried out an investigation.

The accident between junction 10 and junction 11 for Hythe and Westenhanger involved two vehicles.

Police have since confirmed a woman died in the crash.
