Witnesses are needed following a motorway crash in which one driver is thought to have fled the scene.
A couple in the other car were left injured in the incident near Ashford.
It happened at about 9.40pm last Sunday on the coastbound carriageway between Junction 10 for Willesborough and Junction 11 for Stanford.
A man and a woman, who were travelling in a silver Renault Clio, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Police believe the Renault may have been involved in a collision with another vehicle which failed to stop.
A silver Vauxhall Vectra was found abandoned near to the scene, but officers do not yet know if it was involved in the collision.
PC Stephen Bell said: ‘I’d urge the driver of the Vauxhall to contact police as they might have information that could help with our investigation.
‘It was dark at the time but I’d also encourage anyone who saw the Vauxhall prior to the collision to contact police.’
The carriageway was closed until about 11pm while debris was cleared from the scene and the vehicles were recovered.
Witnesses to the collision or anyone with information should contact PC Stephen Bell on 01622 798571 and quote reference 06-1594
