Crash on M20 between Ashford and Maidstone coastbound causes long delays for motorists
15:00, 27 August 2014
A crash on the M20 that has been causing major delays for Kent motorists has been cleared.
All lanes were reopened by 4pm after an earlier smash between a car and HGV, which shut two lanes and caused long queues.
The accident, between J8 and J9 coastbound, blocked the carriageway.
But the Highways Agency have now reopened all lanes in time for the evening rush-hour.
Earlier, a police spokesman said: "Police were called at 1pm today to a two vehicle collision on the M20, coastbound between junctions 8-9.
"No serious injuries have been reported."
