The death of a "beautiful and bubbly" mum-of-two remains a mystery a year after her body was found on the M20.

Dominique Worrall, 32, was discovered on the London-bound stretch close to Junction 9 in Ashford on February 20 last year.

Serious crime detectives arrested a man on suspicion of murder shortly afterwards, but he was released in May pending further inquiries.

The 30-year-old, from Greenhithe, was questioned after handing himself into a north Kent police station.

Miss Worrall, a former waitress, was struck by several vehicles on the carriageway near the Canterbury Road A28 bridge.

She had lived in Gorse Mead in South Ashford for at least five years before moving to a caravan park in Camber Sands in East Sussex just before Christmas in 2017.

Heartbroken former neighbours said how she lived in a ground floor flat in Gorse Mead before moving away.

She was regularly seen at the nearby shops off Brookfield Road with her two young daughters.

One neighbour said last year: “Dominique was always with her children, she was a beautiful person.

“When I first moved here, I clicked with her straight away.

“I really got on well with her and as she lived next door, we would often chat in the garden and we used to speak to each other across the fence.

“Dominique really was a great person I cannot say a bad word about her.

“She would get on with anyone.”

Posting on Facebook, another friend said: "I’ll miss your bubbly fun personality and I’m devastated I’ll never hear your laugh again. God bless you.

"Rest in paradise."

The motorway was shut for more than 20 hours after the grim discovery was made just after 6pm on Tuesday, February 20.

It fully reopened just before 3pm the following day.

Detective chief inspector Richard Vickery said: "This is a complex inquiry which remains under investigation.

"Officers have spent hundreds of hours working on this case and our efforts are very much ongoing."

A fundraising page was set up to pay for Miss Worrall's funeral, which was held in Rye last May.
