Folkestone man arrested over suspected stabbing of woman in Lewisham

A man has been arrested in Folkestone as part of a murder investigation in London.
The 22-year-old was arrested in the town on Thursday in connection with the suspected stabbing of a woman in Lewisham.
The Metropolitan Police, which is handling the investigation, has not specified the location of the arrest but have said it was in the Folkestone area.
Police in Lewisham were called at 5.50pm yesterday to an address in Eastdown Park following concerns for the occupant.
They forced entry and found the body of a 21-year-old woman with suspected stab wounds.
London Ambulance Service pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her family have been told but officers are awaiting a formal identification.
A post mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
An incident room has opened at Lewisham under Det Ch Insp Graeme Gwyn from the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
