A motorhome left at the side of a main road for months is sparking intrigue among residents in Ashford.
The American-built vehicle has been parked in a layby opposite the four-star Ashford International Hotel in Simone Weil Avenue since the autumn.
Taxed until December next year and with a full MOT, the beige Tiffin Allegro Bay model is not obstructing the road or pavement.
But its presence has led to questions among residents – with one contacting police via Twitter this week asking officers to move it from the layby, which does not have any signs banning overnight parking.
Another neighbour, who lives in sheltered housing at the nearby Chamberlain Manor, says the 1992-built machine has been in the spot for more than two months.
"A man is living there and he has a little grey car that is parked next to it sometimes," the pensioner said.
"He's taking the mickey parking there that long."
With numerous cuddly toys on the dashboard, the 5.8-litre motorhome features six Fire Fighters Race Team stickers – a Herne Bay-based squad which competes in classic Mini racing while raising money for charity.
As the vehicle is not abandoned or breaching parking regulations or bylaws on campers, it can stay where it is for as long as the owner wants, according to Kent County Council.
