Neil Cugley wants Folkestone Invicta to be more entertaining next season

Folkestone boss Neil Cugley says he hopes his side’s new abundance of firepower will lead to Invicta being more entertaining to watch.
Folkestone begin their pre-season campaign with Saturday’s visit of Badshot Lea, led by former Invicta coach Lee Dyson, before they visit Chatham Town, managed by former Folkestone favourite Kevin Watson, on Tuesday.
Cugley (pictured) said: "We’re all ready to get going now and I’m looking forward to seeing how the new lads get on."
As well as striker Stuart King and new arrivals from Tonbridge Luke Blewden and Matt Hollyoak, Cugley will run the rule over Dartford-based winger Jason Soule in Folkestone’s first action of the summer.
Cugley said: "I’m also looking forward to seeing Paul Jones and Jimmy Dryden hopefully back, fit and ready to go."
He added: "We’d like to be more entertaining and score more goals this season. We are lucky to have such loyal fans and they deserve a reward after a couple of years where we’ve not scored as many goals as we would have liked.
"We’ll probably play a bit more attacking this year but that is simply because we have a few more options than we have had in the past.
"With the greatest respect to them, the last time we were in Ryman League, Division 1 South we pretty much had a bare 11 who played every game and we played the way that suited us with those players.
"Now we have King, James Everitt, Dryden, Jones and Blewden, plus Darren Smith’s goals from midfield. We definitely have more firepower."
