Furniture giant Harvey’s has confirmed it is opening an outlet on the site in Ashford previously occupied by rival home furnishings store Paul Simon.
Harvey’s parent company, Steinhoff UK, is in the process of applying to alter illuminated signage at the light-industrial unit on the Gallagher Retail Park, off Norman Road, South Ashford.
Steinhoff was unable to say exactly when the Harvey’s outlet would open or how many staff would be employed, but said an announcement was imminent.
Harvey’s has more than 150 outlets nationwide.
Paul Simon closed the Ashford store in April with the loss of 11 jobs after the company fell into administration.
