A Lebanese restaurant chain is the latest to announce their upcoming arrival at a shopping centre.
Comptoir Libanais, which runs 23 restaurants across the country, is the newest addition to the Food Piazza at Ashford Designer Outlet being built as part of the £90 million expansion of the McArthurGlen site.
The menu will feature Middle Eastern classics such as mezzes, tagines and koftas. The cuisine also features a large number of vegetarian and vegan options.
The restaurant will be Comptoir Libanais' second in the county, with a branch already at the Bluewater in Greenhithe.
HMSHost International will operate the restaurant as well as Starbuck's, whose entry into the Food Piazza offering was announced on Tuesday.
Peter Corr, centre manager at McArthurGlen Ashford said: “When it officially opens this Autumn, our new Food Piazza is sure to become a favourite dining destination for locals and visitors alike.
"The offering has been carefully tailored to ensure there is something to suit every guest and we’re thrilled to announce Starbucks and Comptoir Libanais as the newest brands to join us.”
Walter Seib, chief executive of HMSHost International: “We are delighted to announce the further cooperation with McArthurGlen.
"Outlet shopping locations have shown a tremendous growth, especially in the UK, and we are proud to be part of that success.
"We share a commitment for innovation as well as to help our guests customers feel good with their food choices.
"Together with our brand partners, we create places where people want to be, before, during and after their shopping experience.”
The expansion, set to open in autumn, is expected to see 50 new stores installed into the Designer Outlet.
An updated Garden of England-themed playground is already in public use, having cost shopping centre bosses £400,000.
Pret A Manger and YoSushi! have already opened on the site, while popular burger brand Five Guys will be launching a branch soon.
