Olympic gold medallist Jamie Staff has supported a new cycling club’s taster day.
Mr Staff, who triumphed in last year’s Beijng Games, is patron of the Ashford Derailleurs Cycling Club.
The champ, who is also from Ashford, rode on the track for the group’s special day on Saturday and gave young cyclists tips and advice.
The event, at Ashford’s North School, gave members of the public the chance to try out some cycling activities.
The ADCC aims to encourage secondary school age children to improve their cycling confidence and skills.
It takes children and young people aged 11 to 18 as members.
The club is supported by British Cycling and meets every Monday during term time from 6.30 to 8pm at The Youthy, Mabledon Avenue, Ashford.
