One of the foxhound puppies stolen from Egerton last week has been found.
Student and Stroller, a pair of 10-week-old hounds belonging to the Ashford Valley Hunt, were taken from a barn off Bedlam Lane on Sunday, July 7.
Thieves broke into the property taking the dogs, their food, horse blankets and grooming kit.
Megan Palmer, 29. whose husband Adam, 30, runs a dairy farm, said their young sons Harry, aged six, and Olly, two, were heartbroken.
However, Student was found and returned to the hunt on Friday.
Mrs Palmer said: “A couple went out to their garden in Pluckley and he was in their garden roaming around.
“The lady got on her knees and called him over and he came straight over them. She said he seemed like he wanted a cuddle.
“The dog warden was phoned and he’s gone back to the hunt.”
Stroller, who is sandy and white like a traditional hound puppy, is still missing.
The burglars also broke into a neighbour’s property and took two ferrets, diesel and a petrol strimmer.
