A lane of the M20 was closed earlier when a lorry overturned.
Highways England officers were on the scene between Junction 9 (Ashford) and Junction 8 (Leeds Castle) at about 2.18pm, and left at 4.15pm.
The London-bound lane and hard shoulder are now cleared.
It was initially reported that a two-car collision had caused a lane closure.
Traffic authorities had been advising to approach with caution, but emergency services have now left the area.
