Paramedics have caused anger after blocking a disabled parking space outside a fast food restaurant, while tucking in to a burger inside.
One witness, who didn't wish to be named, spotted the ambulance outside the McDonald’s restaurant at the Orbital Park in Sevington near Ashford.(Friday, August 12).
He said: “At first I thought maybe they were helping somebody in need of their services, but upon walking into McDonald's they were sat there having their lunch.
“Considering the ambulance station is across the road they had no need to park there. Yes it's a big vehicle, but there were bigger vehicles parked there at that moment including my own van.”
A spokesman for the ambulance service said the the paramedic’s line managers have now been told.
The spokesman said: “Crews will be reminded that it is not appropriate to park in a disabled space unless they responding to an emergency call.”
