Pedestrian, 70, dies after being hit by car in Ashford

A man has died almost two weeks after being hit by a car in Ashford.
The 70-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries when he was knocked down in Beaver Road.
He was struck by a blue Vauxhall Cavalier near Marino's Fish Bar at around 8.30pm on Saturday, December 1.
The man was taken to a London hospital.
Kent Police, who are still appealing for witnesses, today said he died on Thursday, December 13.
An inquest into the man's death is due be opened in the next few weeks.
