A pensioner has died in hospital after he collapsed in a Tesco Extra car park.
The 74-year-old man, who lived in Canterbury, was taken to William Harvey Hospital in a serious condition yesterday.
Seven ambulances and two police cars were called to the store in Park Farm in Ashford at 2.15pm after he collapsed.
He is understood to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
His family, who do not yet want him to be named, described him as a "loving husband, a devoted dad to three, a grandfather to 10 and a great-grandfather to five".
An incident response unit and critical care car was also spotted at the scene off Moatfield Meadow.
