Ashford: Man taken to hospital after being hit by car on ring road

A pensioner has been taken to hospital with a head injury after being hit by a car on a ring road.
Police taped off the junction with Somerset Road and North Street in Ashford.
Three police cars and an ambulance were spotted at the scene, with tape surrounding a blue Ford Focus.
Officers were called just before 2.15pm.
The pedestrian has been taken to the William Harvey Hospital by ambulance crews.
Long queues built up around the ring road following the incident that lasted until after 6pm.
