A toddler from Ashford woke with a heavy heart this morning after losing his favourite cuddly toy.
Two-year-old Jack Bell's stuffed bunny Geoffrey went missing in Ashford's town centre yesterday afternoon sometime between 12pm and 2pm.
Since then, Jack's mum, Sarah, has been desperately searching for the soft animal in the hope of re-uniting her son with his best friend.
Mrs Bell, from Stanhope, said: "We lost Geoffrey in Ashford town centre yesterday. My son is only two and devastated!
"I have posted on Facebook and everywhere I can think of but so far nothing.
"To make things worse the company that made Geoffrey doesn’t exist anymore, so I can’t even get a Geoffrey II."
Mum-of-three Mrs Bell has even trawled through 3,000 listed soft toys on eBay in an attempt to locate a replica, but has so far had no luck.
She added: "My mum bought the rabbit for Jack before he was even born. My husband came up with his name. He said he looked like a Geoffrey and it just stuck.
"Jack takes him everywhere, even in the bath."
Mrs Bell believes Geoffrey could have fallen out of Jack's buggy while they were shopping in County Square, in the town centre.
