Ashford's iconic bolt sculpture was given a poignant makeover when mystery artists transformed it into a poppy.
The centerpiece was adorned with red and green in a fitting tribute ahead of the Remembrance Day service and parade in the town centre.
As veterans, residents and military personnel headed to the memorial garden's for this morning's service, the bolt had already been decorated in tribute.
The British Legion's poppy has become a dominating symbol of remembrance.
But while it's not the first time the bolt has had a makeover, it is perhaps the most touching tribute to date.
