Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash in Ashford this afternoon.

Police were called at 12.23pm to an accident involving two cars on Bad Munstereifel Road.

The road off junction 10 on the M20 was blocked towards Orbital Park.

Two people were taken to the William Harvey Hospital and are reported to have minor injuries.

The incident has been causing significant delays in the area.

Highways England reported that traffic was being held on the A2070 southbound between the roundabout and A2042 for Ashford while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The road re-opened around 1.30pm.
