Police scrambled a helicopter and search teams after receiving a call about two suspected burglars were seen clambering over garden fences.
The police were called to Bodiam Avenue in Kingsnorth at 9pm last night and residents reported hearing the helicopter overhead.
A police spokesman said some suspicious men were seen jumping over a fence, and a caller was concerned they might have committed a break-in.
But the spokesman said officers searched the area but couldn’t find the men, and no burglaries have been reported.
