Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to a serious collision in Ashford.
The accident happened yesterday, Sunday, at 4.45pm and involved a black Audi A3 car and a red and silver Apollo bicycle near a controlled crossing in Simone Weill Avenue near the Sainsbury's store.
Subsequently the air ambulance was called and Simone Weil Avenue was closed in both directions at the Cow roundabout and Canterbury Road.
A man suffered serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital.
An investigation by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has been launched. Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage, who have not yet spoken to an officer, are asked to call SCIU on 01622 798538 quoting AW/COJ/81/18.
