Couple driving in Tithe Barn Lane, Ashford are pulled over by police and later charged with drugs offences

A large quantity of heroin, cocaine, amphetamine, cannabis and cash was seized by police after they stopped a couple driving a car in Ashford.
Police investigating the supply of drugs pulled over the black Renault Clio in Tithe Barn Lane at midday on Sunday, April 27, but the information has only just been released.
The female driver and male passenger were arrested and drugs, cash and several mobile phones found in the vehicle were seized.
Officers later searched a house in Newenden Close and seized half a kilo of brown powder, about half a kilo of cannabis, various packets of white powder, a white flake-like substance in two bags and more than £3,000 in cash.
Several mobile phones, sim cards, a quantity of new and expensive trainers and a sat nav were also found in the property.
Barry James Bright,aged 33, of no fixed address,has since been charged with three counts of possessing heroin, cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis with intent to supply.
He has also been charged with one count of possessing cannabis.
Charlotte Shaw, aged 22, of Bank Road, Aldington, Ashford has been charged with three counts of possessing heroin, cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis with intent to supply.
She has also been charged with one count of possessing cannabis.
Shaw has been bailed and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 16.
Bright is due to appear before magistrates on Tuesday, June 17.
