A crime-hit Co-op store has been taped off by police following a raid in the early hours.
Officers are standing guard outside the shop in Faversham Road, Kennington.
It follows a break-in between 3am and 6am which saw cash and alcohol stolen.
Police say inquiries to determine the circumstances are ongoing.
A Co-op spokesman said the store will reopen later today.
“We can confirm an incident took place at our Faversham Road store in the early hours of this morning and we urge anyone who may have any information to come forward to police,” they said.
In 2019, the same store was targeted by knife-wielding robbers – just weeks after thieves used explosives to blow up its cash machine.
Anyone with information should call police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/145733/24.
