A coffee shop in Ashford’s County Square shopping centre is set to almost double in size.
Muffin Break, on the upper level, will expand into the empty unit next door, a move which will see the shop grow from seating 90 people to 150 and provide extra facilities including customer toilets and children’s play area.
The extension will create the need for five extra employees.
Franchisee Hamid Qayyum said: “I have been running Muffin Break for quite a few years and always found the community in Ashford vibrant and bubbly.
“I am glad to be offering the town a brand new high-end quality finish store for our customers to enjoy.
“I am proud of my business and our bakers and girls and boys who will serve your coffee live locally and cannot wait to welcome everyone.
“I personally believe that Muffin Break in Ashford will enhance the choice for local residents and visitors and let them have a different experience while visiting a coffee shop.”
The shop closed on Sunday and will re-open on Friday, September 5.
