A popular cafe which closed for a month has re-opened with a new name and a new location.
Ye Olde Carvery in Middle Row, Ashford is now The Tucked Away Take Away in the former Nutmeg Cafe unit.
Bosses moved the business to the slightly bigger location just around the corner as the lease on the former unit expired.
While it sells the same cakes, sandwiches and jacket potatoes, the new name reflects the fact it is hidden away just off the lower high street and not a carvery as the previous name suggested.
A sign appeared on the former shop door a few weeks ago saying it was closed for a refurbishment.
It then changed to say: "We are moving. Just around the corner at number 51."
The former building is now listed for sale for £150,000 on Rightmove or can be let out for £12,000 per annum.
The listing for the site says it is finished to a "modest specification" with a mix of plastered, painted and tiled walls, laminate flooring and fluorescent strip lighting.
It has single glazed timber framed windows and a glazed frontage.
The building is also Grade II-listed on the National Heritage list.
Also nearby, work is being carried out to transform the top floors of The John Wallis.
The town centre pub has been closed for almost three years – and while the building will partly reopen, the pub will not return.
The building is now covered in scaffolding while workers carry out renovations inside and out.
