Pupil hit by car outside Towers School in Kennington, Ashford

A pupil was hit by a car outside a secondary school, sparking rush-hour delays on an A-road.
Teachers in hi-vis vests helped direct traffic following the incident outside Towers School in Kennington.
Two police cars and an ambulance crew were called to Faversham Road, and the pupil, a teenage girl, was taken to William Harvey Hospital for further treatment.
The incident happened close to a traffic light-controlled crossing outside the school and the route was cleared just before 9am.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “Crews were called shortly after 8am to reports of a person being hit by a car in Faversham Road in Kennington.
“Crews arrived and assessed and treated one person at the scene before taking them to the William Harvey Hospital for further medical treatment.”
Police have been approached for comment.
