Police investigate gunshot sounds in Victoria Park, Ashford

Police were called to a park in Ashford last night to a report that a gun had been fired.
Officers attended Victoria Park, in Jemmett Road, after receiving a call from a concerned member of the public who reported hearing gunshot like sounds.
Police attended the area at about 9.30pm, but found no one in the area.
It in unclear what was used to produce the the loud noise, but police suggested it could have been produced from a BB gun or from fireworks.
No was was reported as injured from the incident.
A spokesman from Kent Police said: "A member of the public reported hearing what sounded like gunshots in the Victoria Park area on Sunday evening at around 9.30 pm.
"Officers investigated but found no one in the area and there were no further reports."
