Police have been forced to close a ring-road after cars became stranded in floodwater.
Part of Stanhope Road in Ashford is blocked after the junction of Langney Drive flooded in the early hours.
Police were called at 5.40am and officers remain at the scene.
The road is currently closed between Langney Drive and Speldhurst Close.
In a tweet, police said: "We are getting reports of flooded roads and stranded vehicles in the Stanhope area of Ashford.
"We would like to remind drivers to be vigilant and take extra precautions in the current conditions."
A yellow weather warning for heavy rain was issued across Kent last night, but it was lifted this morning.
A Kent County Council spokesperson said: “Our highways maintenance team received a call at about 6am on Monday to reports of flooding in the area of Stanhope Road.
“A tanker was sent to clear the floodwater and a drainage engineer will visit the area later today to investigate the cause of the flooding and plan any further works deemed necessary.”
