Ashford: Part of Torrington Road closed due to sinkhole
16:30, 23 August 2017
Part of a residential road in Ashford has had to be closed after a sinkhole opened up.
The hole, which appeared just past the turning for Providence Street in Torrington Road, is thought to have appeared overnight.
Kent Highways have now fenced off the hole and closed off the road until further notice.
However, residents can still access the street by using Riversdale Road.
