Roadworks which are blighting a town centre are set to continue for another week.
Drainage works at the ring road in Elwick Road, Ashford have been taking place for a number of weeks, with the two-way signal system causing delays for motorists in the area.
They are now expected to continue until November 16, with crews set to return in January to complete the works.
A spokesperson from Kent County Council (KCC) said: "The drainage works on Elwick Road in Ashford are KCC works to replace all the damaged drains on the road which were causing a hazard to road users.
“The drain channels are being upgraded to a more robust product that is better suited to the location and will prevent future issues, providing a long-lasting repair.
“Due to the nature of the street, the works are taking longer to complete but are set to be complete on the 16 November. Crews will have to return in January to complete the works and some other remedial works along Elwick Road."
