An online petition for greater traffic management at a busy junction near a retail park has already received over a thousand signatures in less than 24 hours.
The change.org petition for a roundabout or traffic lights at the Ashford Retail Park junction in Sevington, Ashford only launched yesterday and more than 1000 people have already signed.
Petitioners plan to send the appeal to Kent County Council (KCC).
Concerns have been raised by motorists in the past about the junction in Sevington which joins the A2070 leading up to Junction 10 on the M20, but the letter says that since the shop expansions at the site "traffic is just getting worse and worse".
The junction currently operates a give way system to those already on the dual carriageway.
The change.org webpage also highlights concerns over safety with stationary vehicles joining traffic with a 70 miles per hour speed limit on the road.
KCC have been approached for comment.
The petition can be found online here.
