A sandwich bar has closed just three weeks after opening in Ashford town centre.
Electrician Darren Groves launched his Shed's venture on October 18, filling a vacant unit that previously housed the Bank Street Mini Market.
The 56-year-old, who had never worked in catering before, was offering a variety of sandwiches, burritos, wraps, baguettes and cakes.
But in a statement posted on the bar's Facebook page this morning, Mr Groves confirmed the site has closed, saying "it wasn't fun while it lasted".
"Huge decision but better to pull the plug now than to continue with the shop," he wrote.
"I have spoken with my folks and we agree it's the right thing to do.
"Sorry for the disappointment and many thanks to those who stopped by."
Mr Groves, who lives in the town centre, had completed a full renovation of unit before launching the business.
The former Barry's Kitchen spot had received a five-star food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency.
Following the closure announcement, customers reacted with sadness on the Shed's Facebook page.
Lorna Bennett said: "Oh no, I haven't managed to get into town since you opened and was really looking forward to trying your food. It's only been a few weeks, a lot of people won't even know you're there."
Valerie Brown said: "Sorry to hear this; I know it’s early days but you have got to do what’s best for you so good luck with anything you choose to do next."
And Dave Browne added: "That had to be a tough decision and I truly feel for you especially after all the hard work."
Earlier this month, Mr Groves told KentOnline how he was "prepared to put the hours in".
"I have tried to utilise the small space as much as I can," he said.
"It's very personalised and I wanted somewhere where my friends and family could come to have a natter."
Months later, it was raided again as part of an illegal tobacco investigation.
