A scrap metal depot was targeted by thieves twice in one weekend.
Burglars first entered Ripleys in Ellingham Way, Ashford, between 7pm on Friday and 8am on Saturday when a large quantity of copper was believed to have been carried over the wall.
The second theft took place in the early hours of Sunday when a large quantity of metal was stolen.
Police are following a number of lines of inquiry and believe a number of people would have been needed to transport that quantity of metal.
Sgt Andrew Bradbury said: "We believe two Ford Transit vans were used during the second incident. One was white and the other was an old-style yellow van with a white Luton body.
"If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area during the relevant times, please contact us.
"We would also like to hear from anyone who recognises the descriptions of the vans or has been offered metal for sale."
If you have any information please call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference number ZY/40840/18.
