Cigarettes, alcohol and scratchcards were taken from a Tesco Express store when two suspected thieves broke in.
It happened at the Mill Court branch in Ashford just before 1.30am on Saturday.
Police were called and had to chase two men on foot.
Officers arrested a 36-year-old man, of no fixed address, and a 18-year-old from the town on suspicion of burglary.
Both men have been released on bail until Wednesday, June 6.
The Tesco store, which closes at 11pm every night, was gutted in an arson attack in March last year and reopened just five months ago following a lengthy refurbishment.
