Man suffers serious injuries after being hit by lorry on A2070 Kennington Road in Ashford

A man suffered serious injuries after being hit by a lorry which resulted in a road being closed for more than five hours.
The A2070 Kennington Road in Ashford was shut after the accident at 9.52am.
Police officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and a man - who suffered serious injuries - was taken to a London hospital.
The road was closed while investigations were carried out before being re-opened this afternoon.
An investigation into the accident is being carried out by Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU).
