Six men have been arrested in connection with a cash machine raid at a Co-op where the bomb squad had to be called.
Detectives probing the theft from the Faversham Road store in Ashford arrested two men aged 27 and 30 at the eastern docks of the Port of Dover yesterday.
Four other men - aged 37, 21, 24 and 22 - were arrested at a property in the Kingsnorth area of Ashford on the same day.
All men currently remain in police custody while inquiries are continuing.
The cash machine was removed from the building, causing damage to the shop front as a result.
It is believed thieves used explosives to damage an ATM and the bomb disposal team was called in to help safely remove it.
A quantity of cash was stolen from the machine.
Officers are carrying out tests to confirm the nature of the materials used to remove the cash machine.
As part of the investigation, police swooped on a black Volkswagen Passat in Cryol Road, Ashford, at 11.30pm last night.
They were assisted by the Ministry of Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.
